At Bespoke sewing we’re not overly formal and we hope you like that about us!

However, sometimes if we are working on a large or bespoke’ order it’s good to have things in writing. 

Our ‘No Surprises’ policy

When we take on a new request there may be some unexpected issues which arise. These issues may pop up after we have provided an initial estimate and may impact the initial price quoted. So we’re going to let you know of any potential issues that may come along so that we are both aware of anything from the start. We want to avoid any confusion around what has been agreed between us and to have a plan in place to sort out any issues which may come about as we work on your project.

Turn around (time to complete) 

We aim for 7 days from date of drop off for smaller orders. Please check with us how long an order may take to complete before you leave your item with us. We’ll probably tell you anyway…

For larger orders and especially where multiple items are required, the estimate of time to complete may need to be adjusted. As we work on your project it will soon become clear how long it will actually take. We ask that for orders like these that you allow some flexibility in the time required to complete your order. Depending on how the job progresses we may need to re-quote – so please see our note on this below.

Quoting your order

If your order is a ‘bespoke’ or a custom request you will be provided with an initial estimated cost. This is based on how long we think it will take to complete. This may be a cost per hour, or an estimate to complete your order based on the order taking an estimated number of hours at an agreed rate per hour. 

So we need to let you know that our terms of service allow us to make changes to your quote. If required, this will be completed as early as possible and once it becomes clear how long the order will actually take to complete. The revised quote will then be the new estimated cost to you.
 

Additional Materials

We may need to use additional materials... we have noted these below just in case we need to include these in the final cost for your order.

Priority Orders

If your order is needed urgently we will do our best to get this done, but may need to charge extra to complete the job by your required date

Fitting Fee

If you need to pop in and take some time with trying on clothes to be worked on, we have a $7 fee for this. If this applies (and we’ll tell you) this will be added to your quote.

Part/Progress Payment

If your order is over $200 then we may ask that once the first $100 has been incurred that this be paid on invoice to you. Having said that, we are happy to talk with you about making specific arrangement for payment on orders above this level.
